After using the other Nekko items in the collection, this oil feels nice on my scalp. I haven’t found anything that keeps my scalp hydrated for hours, though, because my scalp tends to absorb oil quickly. Thick-textured products are necessary for my hair type.

My hair lathers up well after using this shampoo. For the product to completely cover my head, I haven’t had to apply it much. That tiny quantity will grow into a massive mountain of bubbles with just a few squirts. My hair doesn’t feel as though its natural oils have been removed, and the shampoo has a pleasant minty scent. My hair feels soft and my kinky oils are kept in place.
- NEKKO Rejuvenation Serum ($66) – The non-greasy consistency of this lightweight, very moisturizing scalp serum absorbs rapidly and leaves the scalp feeling nourished throughout the day. In addition to preventing undesirable scalp odor, it prolongs the hair development cycle.
This serum has prevented the smell of my scalp. But the material is too thin and has a milky sensation to maintain my scalp’s moisture levels throughout the day. For my scalp to be completely saturated, I would need to use many bottles. As previously said, I’ve yet to discover a serum or scalp oil that works for my severely dry scalp.
