Favorite Overseas Hotspots For Traveling Americans
Thinking about jetsetting abroad? It might be a good idea to stash away some cash because, according to recent research, a typical international expedition will cost nearly $5,000. But that hefty price tag isn’t stopping travelers.
A survey delving into the travel habits of 2,000 Americans who frequently go on international journeys revealed a surprising trend. Despite the significant cost, the average participant has embarked on six international trips in the last five years alone. But a daring third of respondents claimed an even more impressive travel record.
In a world where time is often equated with money, many folks maximize both. One in eight people aren’t just vacationing internationally; they’re enjoying extended getaways, lasting upwards of three weeks at a stretch. They’re making the most out of every moment!
The Travel Aspirations Of 55% Of Americans
According to a survey conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Delta Vacations, Americans have been most drawn to Europe and South America for international getaways in the past five years, while Antarctica and Africa have seen the least foot traffic.
But don’t dismiss those less-visited continents just yet! 55% of respondents revealed having a travel “bucket list,” and of those, 21% have set their sights on at least 10 international destinations. So, Antarctica and Africa might climb the ranks of future travel plans.
As for cherished travel memories, participants shed light on some standout moments, from beachside engagements in Costa Rica to conquering the Great Wall of China.
They also devoured an unforgettable fish pie at a hidden gem in Edinburgh. Travel dreams and memories are clearly on the horizon for these travelers!

It can be an intimidating process and that’s why I recommend two things: use a trusted travel provider to curate the recommendations and sign up for an airline loyalty and rewards program to earn and redeem miles while you travel — put that expertise and those miles to good use!”
